Roleplay Adventures - Chat and RPG

Well now that the forum update is complete we have some new features one the forum. So let’s have a look at them….

First up we have…

We have a new Facebook page for all of those that use it. You can Like any thread on the forum, including the blogs, and have them appear as a notice on your wall. I hope that makes sense to others, my Facebook knowledge is not in existence. 

On the right side of the main Forum page we now have a side bar. This can be expended or closed if you don’t like it. The side bar shows the newest roleplays from each section.

There are now some new Skins added to RPA, such as Red Metal and Reptile green. But if you are fond of some of the old themes, the staff are working to recreate them for the newer version of vBulletin. The RPA default theme has slowly begun to return to it’s former self.

A new Spam Blocker has been installed, which has greatly reduced the number of spammers the forum sees. ^___^

Also we have an Auto-save feature… which I’ll quote Nazgul upon. As I’m lazy.

Post Auto Save - There is a new feature in this release that people will surely appreciate. Auto-save. As I was typing a post, I closed the window and went off for awhile. Then I came back open a window went to the same forum and “Post New Thread”. The empty edit box displayed and in the left hand bottom corner there was a message saying “Restore Auto-Saved Content” Click on it and my post in progress was restored

As you are writing a post, you will see in the bottom right hand corner a 1-2 sec message that says “Auto-Save In Progress” Currently we have it saving at 30 sec intervals, 20 sec is the shortest

The old weird way of video embedding from You-tube is now gone, replaced with something that appears a lot easier to use - also it allows for full screen without leaving RPA. If you look at the Reply Window, on the bar with all the editor buttons is one that looks like a filmstrip. Click on it and paste the link to the YouTube vid and it will be embedded on the site.

A new Dice roller has been installed too.
